Presenting a Columbia home with solar power

February 28, 2010

Claire Garden is a founding member of Terra Nova, a group of four people trying to live together as sustainably as possible. This solar array is just one way in which they are being eco-friendly. They employ a variety of technologies and tactics such as a geothermal heat pump and growing some of their own food. I’ll have more on some of their other eco-friendly initiatives later. Check out the video and ask yourself if a solar system is an option on your home.

Inspiring topic. Edited in logical sequence, free of spin, contains most of the photos and info that one would want. It’s a pleasure that Claire speaks clearly & concisely.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the excellent coverage of the solar array at Terra Nova.

There are several more excellent examples of solar systems in the Columbia area that have been shown on the Show Me Solar Tours in recent years.

If I can be of any further assistance please let me know.

In the meantime I have added a link to your blog to the Show Me Solar News Blog – SunBeams and will mention your article in the next Show Me Solar electronic newsletter.

    Best regards,

Claire Garden’s comments about going first as it applies to implementing alternative energy technologies should be an inspiration for each of us to be true to our convictions concerning alternative energy possibilities and our responsibilities to be good stewards of our shared Earth.
